Scan Tire AI provides AI-generated ESTIMATES for EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This is NOT a replacement for professional tire inspection. Results are AI estimates with current accuracy of approximately 60-75%. You are SOLELY responsible for tire safety decisions. We assume NO liability for accidents, injuries, or damages. Always verify with a certified professional before driving.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ScanTire AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2. Service Description
ScanTire AI is an automated tire inspection service that uses computer vision and deep learning to analyze tire images and provide wear classification estimates.
The Service provides:
- AI-based tire wear classification (5 classes: New to Critical)
- Estimated tread depth measurements
- Confidence scores for predictions
- Historical scan data for registered users
The Service does NOT provide:
- Certified or legally-binding tire inspections
- Guarantees of accuracy or safety
- Replacement for professional mechanical inspection
3. User Responsibilities
By using the Service, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating an account
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit the Service
- Not upload malicious files or content
- Understand that AI results are estimates, not certified inspections
- Consult a professional before making safety-critical decisions
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the AI predictions will be accurate, reliable, or error-free.
- We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, property damage, or deaths resulting from decisions made based on Service outputs.
- You use the Service at your own risk and are solely responsible for verifying results with qualified professionals.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service:
- For any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- To provide certified tire inspections or safety certifications
- To bypass rate limits or abuse API access
- To scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content
- To interfere with or disrupt the Service
- To impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service (including but not limited to AI models, software, text, graphics, and logos) are owned by ScanTire AI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of images you upload but grant us a limited license to process them for Service delivery and, in anonymized form, for model improvement.
7. Beta Service
The Service is currently in BETA. This means:
- Features may change or be removed without notice
- Accuracy may vary and is being actively improved
- Service availability is not guaranteed
- Data may be reset during major updates
